Reconnecting with Earth is a discussion session based on a book by the Northwest Earth Institute which explores our personal knowledge of and appreciation for the natural world, from Wild Nature to Ecopsychology. Tuesday, November 8, 2011, 6:30-8:00 at the Rye Public Library Meeting Room

Topics will include:

Energy Audits – A PSNH rep will talk about the PSNH Home Performance with Energy Star Program
Case Study – Good Neighbor Farm on Washington Road was just audited by this program – pictures, results, work done or to be done
Updates on renewable energy programs
Q & A – Frequently asked questions about energy efficiency and conservation.
Refreshments will be served!

This Wednesday, September 28, 2:30-5:30 is our last market of the summer. Our featured vendor is Coastal Creamery and our menu includes their fresh cream and cheeses. Lisa Houde, Children’s Librarian will be with us to read to the children 2:30-3:30 and our artists are Kim Medeiros’ pottery and Claire Russo’s water colors and bags. We will also have Webster-at-Rye selling watercolor cards made by their residents in classes taught by Doris Rice and they will be taking orders for Christmas cards.

Our featured vendor this week is Southbrook Farm and our What’s for Dinner Wednesday Menu and recipes feature lamb products along with fresh vegetables and an apple dessert. Our artists are Claire Russo’s watercolors and hand knit bags and John Hutchinson’s hand made cutting boards. Our musician is Chris O’Neill of Amorphous. Our market will be RAIN OR SHINE – IF RAIN, WE’LL BE INSIDE THE CHURCH.
