RULES AND REGULATIONS
2011 SUMMER-FALL

1. All products sold at the Rye Farmers’ Market (RFM) have to be raised, grown or made locally by the vendor.  There is no resale of goods allowed.  The exception to this rule being seafood.

2    The RFM is located in Rye Center, 580 Washington Rd., Rye.

3     The RFM will be held every Wednesday from June 13 – September 26, 2012.  The RFM will open at 2:30PM and close at 5:30PM.

4    There are no dogs allowed at the RFM.

5    There is no smoking at the RFM.

6    Vendors must bring their own set-up to the market including tents with weights and arrive in time for the opening at 2:30PM.  No driving is allowed in the parking lot after 2:30PM.

7    Vendors are not allowed to leave the RFM before the close at 5:30PM unless arrangements are made with the market coordinators.

8    Vendors must pay $10/week for their space at the market.  If you are a no-show and have not had your absence approved by the RFM (sorazi3@comcast.net), you must still pay the          $10.00 fee.  We, of course, understand last minute emergencies.  There is also a $20, one time, application fee.

9    Vendors must leave their space by 6:00PM and are responsible for all clean-up before leaving.
This is a zero waste market.  NO plastic bottles or utensils.

10    Vendors must provide proof of liability insurance naming the Town of Rye as an additional insured and will be asked to sign an application form indemnifying and holding             harmless the Town of Rye against any claims. We must have a copy of your insurance before you can vend at our market.

11    Vendors are required to have proper licensing and certification.

12    There will be a distribution for vendors selling goods at the RFM of 90% AGRICULTURAL/FOOD (edible) AND 10% NON-AGRICULTURAL (non-edible).

13   Scales used at the Market must be certified.

14    Vendors must have their vendor name and price list visible.  VENDORS WHO DO NOT COMPLY WITH THESE GUIDELINES MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE MARKET.
