
In 2007, the Rye, New Hampshire Board of Selectmen formed the Rye Energy Committee with the driving goal of reducing the town’s carbon footprint. Since that date, we have been quite busy! If you have enjoyed the fresh bounty at the Rye Farmer’s market, or participated in ‘Green’ workshops held at the library, or committed to saving thousands of pounds of Carbon Dioxide in the NH carbon challenge, you have benefited from the work of our committee!
The goal of the Rye Turning Green website is to provide information that will help educate our citizens on how they can conserve energy and eat locally.
